I composed and performed the film score and created the sound design for Baby, Don't Stare a short film by Christine Berg ( Burning Sands and Wonder Buffalo). The plot revolves around a young woman named Isabel that is so narcissistic and self-involved that she isn't aware that a murder has been committed. After she experiences the disconnect from her friends; and finally realizes what is happening around her, she discovers that she was the murder victim!
I composed, performed and edited the film score for Flap Cut, by Christine Berg. It is a short film about a young girl trying to survive in what remains of San Francisco after an apocalyptic event. A stranded Russian sailor tries to befriend her, but the communication barrier is too high, and she kills him out of fear and the will to survive.
An ambient music experiment in the style of Brian Eno's Music For Airports and William Basinski's Disintegration Loops. Music loops of different lengths are played in parallel and recorded and mixed as they coalesce and fracture against each other.
A hardware interface that controls midi loops and tempos based on EEG and other biometric sensor readings. The loops are triggered based on algorithms set and read by Max/MSP.
The interface user can sit and listen to the music generated by their body interacting with the device and responding to the music, or can be a musician that improvises and plays along.
